Long-form Blogs: BackPacking Journals
Some of my favorite pieces of content that I wrote for this outdoors company—and just ever—were long-form blog posts about trips I had gone on to talk about the trail and experience of that nature area.
Lost Coast Backpacking Guide & Journal

When I had first heard of the Lost Coast, I’d heard it from a surfer’s mouth, picturing long beaches and riders on sea pipelines. But this is not bikini weather, but where the range spills out into the sea, rough oceans form robust waves, and create some of the most beautiful landscapes in California.

A guide and hiking journal on how to get to the Lost Coast and plan for a great weekend outdoors.

Backpacking Journal: 7 Days On The PCT

There was always one adventure that loomed over us. The great adventure, the outdoor grail, my brother and I knew it as, and we’d talk about doing the Pacific Crest if we could ever get work off or just cancel obligations for a summer.

A narrative and photo essay on seven days spent on the Pacific Crest Trail in the Central Cascades in Washington.

Crater Lake In Winter: Overnight Snowshoe Camping

One of my favorite cups of coffee is the one you have when it is still early enough to be dark, heading out on an adventure while the rest of the world sleeps. Down the I-5 towards Crater Lake in mid-March, the morning is nippy enough to remind us it will only get colder. Oregon is filled with many iconic outdoor sites, but Crater Lake reigns supreme in terms of endless views and gorgeous wilderness.

An exposition on how to backpack and snow camp on Crater Lake with an itinerary.
